Knitted Washcloths

I attempted knitting when I was 17. I had a friend in high school who gave me a Learn to Knit book, some yarn and knitting needles. Needless to say, I failed at that time to learn how to knit. I used that book about 10 years later and VIO-LA!! I did it!

I have only knitted scarves, shawls, and these pictured washcloths and mini face cloths. This a loved pattern that I am so happy I found a few years back, accidentally. It is called The Almost Lost Washcloth Pattern and these things are wonderful to make while also watching a show, going to a lecture, relaxing with a hot beverage (or cool beverage), and is easy to follow.

Stacks of regular and mini washcloths.

Sadly, I am not a fast knitter, I think the regular size washcloth takes me about 3 – 4 hours, potentially 6-7, (this is also with distractions in between). It is impossible for me to sit for very long. The smaller ones take 2 hours if I do not get distracted.

These are best in cute little sets, 2 of the larger ones and 2 of the Mini-Almost Lost Washcloth seem to be a perfect amount. I have had people use them as actual washcloths as well as doilies for around their home.

That is all for now.

I am still working on the stories I have building up in my head, but getting them out and organized is a completely different ordeal

Til next time!
